ActuaryAce ("ActuaryAce," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at actuaryace.com (the "Service"), which provides AI-generated practice problems for the Society of Actuaries Exam P and Exam FM. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the third parties that help us run the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information described here.
Information we collect
- Email address. When you sign up, join our mailing list, or create an account, we collect your email address. We use it to send you a sign-in code, deliver account-related and transactional messages, and — if you opt in — occasional product updates.
- Usage data. As you practice, we store information about your activity, such as which exam and topics you choose, the problems you attempt, your answers, and your progress and performance statistics. This lets us track your free-problem usage, show your analytics, and adapt difficulty.
- Payment information. When you purchase a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card number. Stripe provides us with limited details such as your plan, subscription status, and a customer reference so we can grant and manage your access.
- Local storage. We store small items in your browser, such as your theme preference and a sign-in/sync code, so the Service works correctly across visits and devices. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to provide and operate the Service; authenticate you and manage your account and access; generate, deliver, and evaluate practice problems; process payments and prevent fraud; respond to support requests; and, where permitted, send transactional and product-related email. We may also use aggregated, de-identified data to improve the Service.
Third-party service providers
We rely on the following providers to operate the Service. Each processes data only as needed to provide its service:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Resend — delivery of transactional and account-related email.
- Upstash — database and storage for your account and usage data.
- Anthropic — AI generation and evaluation of practice problems. We send problem content and your interactions with problems to Anthropic's API; we do not send your email address or payment details.
- Netlify — website hosting and serverless backend functions.
These providers maintain their own privacy and security practices, and we encourage you to review their policies.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only with the service providers listed above so we can run the Service, or when required by law.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may ask us to delete your account data at any time (see Contact below).
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, and our providers offer industry-standard safeguards. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can unsubscribe from non-essential email using the link in any such message or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law.
Children's privacy
The Service is intended for exam candidates and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
